Sandeep Wirkhare, has been a start-up specialist throughout
25 years of work experience and has spearheaded several start up and rapid
growth situation in organizations such as ICICI Bank, Reliance Capital,
Dhanlaxmi Bank & Essel Finance Business Loans to set & scale up operations
nationally, building assets to the tune of INR 5000 Cr+ annually. He has
managed all functions in the organisation starting from Sales & Distribution
to Credit & Risk Management including hands on experience in technology,
treasury & compliance.
Prior to joining ISFC he worked with Essel Finance as CEO & Executive
Director for 4 years, then he was MD & CEO of Aryarth Housing Finance for 10
months.
Rakesh Rewari has over three decades of experience
in Financial Institutions, Banks, NBFCs and Venture Capital Funds in the
area of credit, venture capital, impact investment, incubation financing,
guarantee funds, policy initiatives etc for the MSME sector. He holds a
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from Faculty
of Management Studies, University of Delhi. From Oct 2006 to Aug 2011, he
served as Deputy Managing Director and Member of Board of Directors of SIDBI
an apex Institution for promotion , development and financing of MSME sector
in India. He was also deputed by SIDBI as CEO to set up a subsidiary (SIDBI
Venture Capital Ltd). He has experience in full venture capital cycle
including fund raising, regulatory approvals, due diligence, Investment,
monitoring and exit. In April 2017 he became a member of the Investment
Committee of the Indian Angel Network Fund promoted by the largest angel
network in India.
Hari Padmanabhan is a Corporate Board member,
serial entrepreneur, Venture & Angel investor and mentor.Hari Padmanabhan is
currently Executive Chairman of the Encore Group (set up in 2010). Encore is
a Venture Operating Partnership that helps companies to drive their growth
globally in the Enterprise application software space.
He is currently Chairman and Mentor of OS Labs, the creators of INDUS OS and
INDUS AppBazaar . The pioneer of the Android mobile experience in all Indian
languages , INDUS created the first Indian App Store and now over 150 M
Indians enjoy using its INDUS AppBazaar in their mother tongue.
He is also the Chairman of Pan IIT Alumni Reach for India (PARFI). PARFI is a
unique ‘not for profit’ organisation providing employment guaranteed, loan
funded vocational training to underprivileged youth across rural India .
Prior to this , Hari Padmanabhan was the Global Deputy CEO of 3i Infotech
,after it acquired INSYST Technologies in 2002 . INSYST which was founded by
him in 1986, pioneered software product development in the Middle East and
created market leading products in the ERP (ORION) and Insurance (PREMIA)
segments across The Middle East, Africa & the CIS under his leadership.
In 2009 , he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus award of the S.I.E.S.
group of colleges by Late Dr.Abdul Kalam , Former President of India.
He has also produced a full length feature film, Land Gold Women , that won
the Indian President's Best English Feature Film' award.
He founded TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) in Dubai 2003 and is its Founder
President.
He is Former Chairman of Pan IIT Alumni India (the apex body of the alumni of
the Indian Institutes of Technology) where he spearheaded the Pan IIT
Alumni’s nation building initiatives across the country.
He has a Bachelor of Technology degree from IIT Kanpur and is a post graduate
in Management from IIM Kolkata.
Smita serves on the Board of Gray Matters Capital (US) and
Digital Reading Foundation (India). She believes in the transformational
power of business models that blend profit with purpose.Smita brings a
global perspective to her work informed by her diverse experience of living
and working in Africa,Asia,Europe, and the US with for-profit and not for
institutions.\n Smita started her career in 2001 as a banker and worked in
multiple roles in product,forex and operations in retail,MSME,Corporate and
International banking group of ICICI Bank.She joined the start-up team of
transformational consultancy Volans (UK) that helps social entrepreneurs.
She the headed Research and Performance Management for Community Banking
with Standard Bank (South Africa) where she worked with the unbanked and
underbanked to increase the adoption of mobile banking, credit and
correspondent banking. She was the first employee recruited
to the India office of Gray Matters Capital. At GMC, she architected and
led edLABS that provides very early stage funding to "visionary edu-preneurs"
for the development of disruptive solutions to education problems. She
brought behavioural design thinking to GMC to enhance engagement of apps on
mobile phones.She also led Gray Matters Capital`s Ecosystem work with
Affordable Private Schools owners and associations towards enhancing the
quality of education in schools.
Smita has a degree in Electrical Engineering,MBA in Finance from SP Jain
Institute of Management and Research; She also graduated top of her class
during her Master`s in International Organization from University of Geneva.
Pranay serves as the Head of Investments and Portfolio at
Gray Matters Capital. Pranay has 15 years of work experience with investments of
over $300 mm across over 14 deals with sector expertise in healthcare,
education, BFSI And consumer in both traditional and tech businesses. He has
worked on several business transformational projects to boost/ turn around
businesses and is an energetic and innovative self-starter.
In his past role at BCCL, he was responsible for leading the sourcing, investing
and managing of investments in – fintech, health-tech, Ed-tech, and D2C for west
and eastern regions in India & cross-border deals from US & MENA region. Prior
to this for a year, he was a Director (Alternative investments & strategy) at
Lighthouse Canton, a Singapore based Multi-family office. Prior to that he spent
10 years at India Equity Partners (India focused $450 mm Private Equity fund)
where he led negotiations with management, managed due diligence, legal
documentation, structuring, M&A and deal closure and was an active Board member
at all portfolio companies. He started his career as an investment banking
analyst at Morgan Stanley. Pranay has worked extensively in India & Singapore
markets.
He has served on several boards including MN Park, RG Stone Hospitals, Schoolnet
India, Axiss Dental, Ocean Sparkle.
He is a MBA (Exec.) from INSEAD (Singapore) and a Chartered Accountant from
India. He is also a Masters and Bachelors - in Finance & Accounts, from N.M.
College (University of Mumbai).
